The church as the body of Christ is called to become a fellowship in which every member can participate, including persons with disabilities. Yet disability ministry in local congregations can remain charitable rather than participatory. This study examines how GMIH Immanuel Tiga Saudara Congregation in Tabaru serves persons with disabilities and interprets the local value of 'esa moi as a resource for inclusive ecclesiology. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed through participant observation and in-depth interviews with twenty informants comprising church leaders, congregation members, family members, and persons with disabilities. Source and method triangulation were used, while the data were reduced, displayed, interpreted inductively, and brought into dialogue with 1 Corinthians 12 and 'esa moi. The findings show that persons with disabilities are still frequently positioned as recipients of compassion; congregational ministry is concentrated on twice-monthly pastoral prayer and annual diaconal assistance; and active participation is constrained by stigma, low self-confidence, discriminatory experiences, and the absence of a planned inclusion program. Nevertheless, the data also reveal abilities and a desire to serve among persons with disabilities. The study concludes that 'esa moi, understood as kinship and mutual belonging, can strengthen a contextual ecclesiology that moves the congregation from charity toward participation, accessibility, and empowerment.
